This is a fast-growing fish and can easily reach up to 6ft long and 100 lbs, however, the average size is around 30lbs. Other common names include Black Kingfish, Black Salmon, Ling, Lemonfish, Crabeater, Prodigal Son, Codfish and Black Bonito. Cobia is considered a very delicious fish due to its mild taste and sweet undertones. The meat is white with large flakes and a firm texture.
